Truck Reportedly Damaged By Pumpkin

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police log:
Monday, Oct. 1
- A vehicle on Baker Avenue was reported broken into at 8:04 a.m.
- A possible break-in to an Elliott Street apartment was reported at 10:24 a.m.
- At 4:43 p.m. police were asked to assist the Beverly DPW with kids who were tampering with cement on Cabot Street.
- Police were called to Bridge Steret at 4:52 p.m. on report of a shed being wide open. When police arrived they saw that both the fence gate and shed door were found wide open. Nothing appeared to be missing.
- Police were called to Roundy Street at 6:24 p.m. on report of a man who followed a woman into her residence.
- Police were called to Cabot and Stone Street on report of a drunk woman in the street at 11:53 p.m. They did not locate the person in question.

- Police were called to Grant Street at 9:15 a.m. on report of a resident hearing footsteps on the first floor. Police cleared the first and second floor and said all doors and windows were locked.
- At 10:30 a.m. police were made aware of a man who swore at a woman entering CVS while he was walking out, reportedly for no reason. When police arrived the parties were not there.
- Police were called to Park Street on report of a woman soliciting for money car-to-car at 5:22 p.m.
- At 8:50 p.m. police arrested Thomas Venturo, 45, of 490 Rantoul St., on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
- At 9:16 p.m. police were called to Gage Street on report of two men fighting. Police arrested Mathew Birch, 19, of 12 Pickett St., on charges of disorderly conduct, violation of the city's knife ordinance, and a warrant charge.
- Two homeless people were reported camping out on Federal Street at 10:50 p.m. Police sent them on their way.
Wednesday, Oct. 3
- A truck on Thorndike Street was reportedly damaged by a pumpkin at 10:21 a.m.
- Threats via Facebook were reported on Echo Avenue at 1:19 p.m.
- Police were called to Knowlton Street at 2:03 p.m. on report of a man in the bushes. They did not find the man in question.
- Police were called to Federal Street at 7:53 p.m. on report of a possible drunk person on a bunch. The person was sent on his way.
- At 10:19 p.m. police arrested Kenneth Regan, 49, of 45 Baker Ave., on assault charges.
- Police were called to the area of Hale and Eishenhower Avenue on report of the smell of smoke in area at 10:24 p.m. The Beverly Fire Department searched the area but did not find anything.
