True North Ale Company Wins Great American Beer Festival Gold Medal

The Ipswich brewery won a gold medal in the Belgian-style or French-style ale category for its Vincianne Belgian Blonde Ale.

IPSWICH, MA— True North Ale Company of Ipswich won a gold medal this past weekend at the Great American Beer Festival that wrapped up Saturday in Denver.

The festival is the nation's largest for professional brewers and hands out some of the industry's most sought-after accolades. The festival ran over nine days, with 250 beer experts from 10 countries serving as judges.

Judges evaluated nearly 9,445 entries from 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, including collaborations between professional breweries and pro-am collaborations from professionals and amateurs. Among those, 303 medals were awarded to 263 breweries across 99 categories and 175 beer styles. Gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded.

True North won the gold medal in the Belgian-style or French-style ale category for its Vincianne Belgian Blonde Ale.

Vincianne is brewed with Belgian yeast and malt, candi syrup, and noble hops. Effervescent, crisp, and refreshing, with subtle aromas and flavor reminiscent of apple, pear, earth, and black pepper.

It is a 6.3 percent ABV ale.

This is the latest major award for the Belgian brew, which also took home a gold medal at the 2023 Best of Craft Beer Awards and earned a medal at each of the last three North American Brewers Association Awards.

True North was opened in 2017 by the father and son team of Gary and Jake Rogers. The brewery
boasts a 15,000+ square foot facility with state-of-the-art brewing equipment, a high-speed canning line, and on-site taproom, patio, and events space.
