BEVERLY—The following are highlights from the Beverly Police Department Logs from Aug. 28-29.
Monday, Aug 28
- A vehicle was rear-ended by the stop sign at Cabot Street and Bennett Street around 4:00p.m. Minor damage occurred to the bumper of the front car.
- An employee at a Cabot Street business was taken away by ambulance after having chest pains.
- A customer's child accidentally opened a bag of popcorn at the 54 Elliott Street Walgreens. Walgreen's would not let the customer purchase the rest of his/her items without paying for the popcorn. Walgreens was given $1.68 by officers, and the popcorn given to a homeless man.
- A person was reported having heart pain at a party on Boyles Street, and was taken away in an ambulance.

- A car crashed into a fence at Brimbal Avenue and Dunham Road. The party was transported to an area hospital and the vehicle was towed.
- Montserrat College students and homeless people were cleared from Dane Street Beach after a officers witnessed a large group on the beach.
- A Grey Ford Explorer cut across a double yellow line on Tozer Road. Was charged with erratic operation of a motor vehicle.
- Vandalism was reported on a red building by Cabot and Knowlton Streets.
- A tree crew was reported for blocking the road at Odell Avenue and Spring Street. Northern Tree Service was working for MBCR. Their vehicles were moved to stop traffic obstruction.
- An intoxicated man was transported at 11:09p.m. from 245 Cabot Street. He was charged with a disturbance and could not get up on his own.
- Two people were claiming to be National Grid employees, and were reported at Cabot Street and Lyman Street for suspicious activity. The salesmen were advised by officers to go to City Hall for a Solicitor's license.
- Three parking tickets were issued for illegally parked cars at the Ayers School.
