It's officially the weekend, Beverly, and Halloween activities are popping up everywhere. Not sure how you're going to spend it?

Here's a look at some of the events going on in and around town. Check our calendar for more, and if there's something we missed, be sure to add it.

Witch Stories by Candlelight

Find out what's happening in Beverlyfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

  • When: Friday, 5 & 6 p.m.
  • Where: Hale House (39 Hale St.)
  • What: Listen to tales of some very strange characters as you explore one of Beverly’s oldest houses. Explore the extraordinary Hale House and its connection to the Salem witchcraft hysteria in a guided candlelight tour.  Tours at 5 and 6 p.m. $10/$5 for Beverly Historical Society members.

Night at the (Wenham) Museum

  • When: Friday, 6:30-8:30 p.m
  • Where: Wenham Museum (132 Main St., Wenham)
  • What: Moon-lit tours of the museum’s 17th century house, find clues on a treasure hunt, enjoy spooky treats while watching A Night at the Museum movie. $8 per person or $26 per family. 

First Annual Beverly Domestic Violence 4 Mile Run

  • When: Saturday, 9 a.m.
  • Where: West Beach (110 West St.)
  • What: Run starts and ends at West Beach.  All proceeds from the event go directly to support the needs of domestic violence victims helped through the Bevelry DVU which is over 500 people, annually.  Beverly's DVU is also celebrating its 10th anniversary this year!  

Rummage Sale Shore Country Day School

  • When: Saturday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Where: Shore Country Day School (545 Cabot St.)
  • What: Womes's, Men's and Teen's Clothing, Accessories (Jewelry, Ties, Belts, Hats), Outerwear, Shoes, Small Furniture, Househould Goods (Linens, Fabrics, Draperies), Bric-A-Brac, Books, Sporting Goods, Games and Media, Bake Sale Table. 

Child ID Event

  • When: Saturday, 12-3 p.m.
  • Where: Beverly/Salem Lodge of Elks (39 Bow St.)
  • What: The Beverly/Salem Elks will be hosting a Child ID Day where you can get an ID with all of your child's vital info including fingerprints. Parent or guardian must accompany the child. All age children are welcome.  

Steez Magazine 25th Issue Release Night

  • When: Saturday, 6-10 p.m.
  • Where: Porter Mill Studio (95 Rantoul St.)
  • What: Steez has teamed up with the So-Gnar guys out of Denver, CO to bring you a wild night in celebration of their 25th issue. Captain Safety and Pat Milbery will be making appearances, with music from DJ Alexander The Great. Come check out the art show and outdoor movie premiere's from Never Summer, So-Gnar and After Hours and throw some graffiti up on a super-sized Vitamin Water wall. Free food from Kind Snacks, beer from Naragansett, mixed drinks from Deep Eddy Vodka, and prizes from our sponsors all night long!
