12 Boston Businesses To Face Licence Violation Hearings

BOSTON — A dozen businesses face license violation hearings across the city Tuesday. Violations range from overcrowding, to blocked fire exits, serving alcohol to someone under 21, Tequila on display behind the bar, violation of bottle service, no manager on presence and distilled spirits on a wine malt liquor license, a patron assaulted an employee, and patron on patron assaults.

The Licensing Board is holding a public hearing on February 26, 2019, at 10 a.m.

Here's a look at what business got in trouble:

Location: 209 Columbus Ave
Date of violation: 01/06/2019
Notice/Violation: Patron on patron assault and battery; patron on employee assault and battery in violation of M.G.L. ch. 138 s. 64 and ch. 265 s. 13A.

2). Cask and Flagon

Location: 62 Brookline Ave
Date of violation: 11/21/2018
Notice/Violation: Assault and battery patron on employee in violation of M.G.L. ch. 138 s. 64, ch. 265 s. 13A.

3). The Glass Slipper
Location: 22 Lagrange St
Date of violation: 12/13/2018
Notice/Violation: Patron on employee assault and battery in violation of M.G.L. ch. 138 s. 64 and ch. 265 s. 13A.

4). Suishaya
Location: 2 Tyler St
Date of violation: 01/24/2019
Notice/Violation: No manager on premise, possession of distilled spirits (Soju) on Wine, Malt and Liqueur License and premise operating a four (4) wide screen TV's in violation of M.G.L. ch. 138 s. 64.

5). Crystal Restaurant/Garage Room
Location: 14 ‑ 20 Linden St, Allston
Date of violation: 12/31/2018
Notice/Violation: Violation of bottle service to patrons (carafes on table) in violation of M.G.L. ch. 138 s. 64 and Boards Conditions on Bottle Service.

6). Emanuel Enterprises, LLC
Location: 71 ‑ 73 Meridian St East Boston
Date of violation: 12/30/2018
Notice/Violation: Tequila on display behind bar (Malt Liqueur License), bottle service without Licensing Board's approval (1/2 bottle of Aguardiente) in violation of M.G.L. ch. 138 s. 64.
