3 Arrested Following Brush Fire At Boston Park

The three men were caught "throwing items, possibly rocks" at a Boston Fire Department drone that was flying over the fire Wednesday night.

BOSTON, MA — Three Roxbury men were arrested Wednesday night in connection with a brush fire on Morton Street, according to the Boston Police Department.

The first fire was reported near Franklin Park around 10:30 p.m., after which officials spotted other fires in the area, police said.

Police deployed a drone over Franklin Park and spotted the three men — 33-year-old Jasen Levoy, 24-year-old Thomas Mullikas, and 25-year-old Augusto Bussio — walking inside the golf near the fires.

The three men were seen "throwing items, possibly rocks" at the Boston Fire Department drone in "an apparent attempt to damage it" before running down a path in the park, police said.

Shortly afterward, officers found the men coming out of the park near Jewish War Veterans Drive and took them into custody.

Levoy, Bussio, and Mullikas are expected to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court on charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct.
