Bouncer Surrenders In Deadly Stabbing Of Marine Outside Bar
A bouncer turned himself in to police after an active-duty Marine was stabbed outside of a Union Street bar over St. Patrick's Day weekend.

BOSTON — Boston police say they have made an arrest in connection to a fatal stabbing outside a popular Faneuil Hall bar over the weekend.
Police responded to reports of an assault outside of Paddy O's bar at 33 Union Street just after 7 p.m. Saturday night. Once officers arrived on the scene, they say they found a man who had been stabbed.
The victim, later identified as Daniel Martinez, 23, of Illinois was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, Superintendant Felipe Colon said during a press conference later that night. Martinez was an active-duty Marine, officials say.

Police say the attacker, identified as Alvaro Larrama, 38, of East Boston, took off on foot following the stabbing but turned himself into police Monday and was taken into custody without incident. Officials say Larrama was employed as a bouncer at Sons of Boston.
The stabbing took place the night before the South Boston St. Patrick's day parade, and many people were out in the area to celebrate the occasion. All bars on the strip were closed for the remainder of the night during the investigation but reopened Sunday.
