Bao, Thai Ice Cream & Live Music : Where to Eat this Weekend

"Boston Foodies" blogger Tiffany Lopinsky shares new spots on Newbury Street, beloved neighborhood spots, and more to enjoy this weekend.

From Kendall Square to Newbury Street to JP, we’ve got some great spots across the city for you to check out this weekend.

Sumiao Hunan
Check out the new summer menu at Sumiao Hunan, a beautiful Kendall Square spot serving Hunan Chinese cuisine. Their new menu additions include dishes like Iced Arctic Surf Clam, Five Spice-Braised Beef, and a selection of fresh caught seafood. Don’t leave without trying some of their steamed bao and twisty rolls, which are as tasty as they are pretty.

The shop opened last weekend and serves up some delicious rolled ice cream combinations including Mango Sticky Rice, Cookie Spree, Banana Pudding, and more! Don’t let summer pass by without giving this popular new dessert trend a try.

SRV
Another spot adored among its neighborhood residents is SRV, a spot frequented by almost every South End resident I know. This Venetian Style restaurant and wine bar is known for its delicious hand made pasta, cicchetti (small bites), and some insanely tasty and unique dessert.
