Body Found in Belle Isle Marsh Identified As Missing Teen
A passerby spotted the body late last week.

BOSTON, MA — A body found decomposing in the Belle Isle Marsh late last week has now been identified as a missing 16-year-old East Boston boy.
The Suffolk County District Attorney shared the teen's age, but is not yet releasing his name because the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has not yet ruled on the cause or manner of his death. He was reported missing on Nov. 13, State Police said.
According to the DA's office, a passerby spotted the boy's body near the reservation's Bennington Street entrance Friday evening.

While visitors to the reservation are advised to remain alert and aware of their surroundings, authorities said the young man's death does not appear to be connected with random violence or an ongoing threat to public safety.
Nonetheless, anyone with information is asked to contact the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit at 617-727-8817.
