Boston Cop Coming to This Season's 'Survivor'

Watch starting this month on CBS to see Boston Police Sgt. Bret LaBelle's small-screen debut.

BOSTON, MA — In Season 33 (yes, 33) of CBS' Survivor, it's Millennials versus Gen-Xers, and the old guard has a powerful player on its side.

Meet Boston Police Sgt. Bret LaBelle, a lifelong fan of the reality program, according to the Boston Police Department, and one of the competitors on this season's Gen X team.

LaBelle, 42, will be one of 20 cast members fighting for the million-dollar final prize this season, which airs Sept. 21 at 8 p.m.

LaBelle in 2014 was honored alongside other officers by then-Gov. Deval Patrick after pursuing a violent suspect who refused to surrender following a traffic stop.
