Electrical Fire Extinguished At Boston University Building

BOSTON, MA — The fire department extinguished a two-alarm fire at a building on Boston University's Medical Campus on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the department, the incident at Houseman Medical Research Center on 778 Harrison Ave. was determined to be an electrical fire that began in the basement. Smoke could be seen emitting from the location before 12 p.m. The blaze was knocked down in approximately one hour after firefighters arrived on the scene. The facility was reportedly evacuated and there are currently no injuries to report.
