Boston Man Arrested After Threatening People With Machete: Police
Jorge Gonzalez is facing assault and drug trafficking charges after officers found fentanyl on him during the arrest.
BOSTON — A man was arrested after police say he was threatening people with a machete Tuesday afternoon.
Jorge Gonzalez, 49, of Dorchester, was charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon, carrying a dangerous weapon, and trafficking a Class A drug.
Gonzalez was involved in two incidents earlier Tuesday where police say he threatened several people with a machete before driving off. Witnesses provided police with a description of the car and an officer working by Columbia Road saw one that matched the description. Multiple officers were called to help stop the car.

Police were able to pull the car over and arrest Gonzalez. Officers say they pulled a plastic bag filled with fentanyl from his pocket and a black machete from inside his car.
Gonzalez is due back in Roxbury District Court this week.
