Boston Overnight Shooting Kills One, Injures Another
The Suffolk County District Attorney says it appears the shooting was targeted, and two people of interest are being questioned by police.
BOSTON — A man is dead and another remains hospitalized after a shooting in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood on the Jamaica Plain line Tuesday night.
Police responded to reports of shots fired near 66 Walnut Park around 11 p.m. and said they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other remains hospitalized, but in stable condition, a spokesperson from the Boston Police Department said. Their names have not yet been released, but police say they are questioning two other people of interest.

"The shooting appears to be targeted, so I don't think the community needs to be concerned in terms of just short random shooting sprees and that sort of thing," Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden said in a statement. "It's unfortunate that we have another tragic loss of life in just a few short days here and that's unfortunate."
This deadly shooting follows a string of shootings around the city. Two officers were involved in a Chinatown shooting early Monday morning, a man was shot to death in broad daylight in Roxbury Monday afternoon, and a 15-year-old was injured in a daylight shooting in Charlestown on Sunday.
