Boston Police Investigate After Man Shot To Death In Broad Daylight
Police are left searching for a suspect after a man was killed near a park in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood.

BOSTON — A man was shot and killed in broad daylight near a park in Boston on Monday, officials say.
Police responded to a report of a shooting in the area near Orchard Park in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood around 5:45 p.m. to find a man suffering from life-threatening injuries.
The man, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to a nearby hospital where he did not survive his injuries.

So far no arrests have been made, and police continue to track down a suspect.
“By all accounts, there was no ongoing activity or other people from the public in the park at the time of the incident so we can call ourselves fortunate in that respect," Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden said. "This is another tragic situation, our hearts are heavy at this particular time."

Police say two handguns were found near the scene.
"We're processing a large, fairly large crime scene that has ballistic evidence to include two firearms," Boston Police Superintendent Felipe Colon said. "We're asking for the public's help. Anyone with information please contact our homicide division."
