BOSTON — The Boston Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a man behind a disturbing breaking and entering that happened just before 4 a.m. on Bellvista Road in Brighton Tuesday.

A woman who asked her name not to be revealed told police she woke up to find a man she didn't know standing in her bedroom, watching her sleep. Brighton police believe this man is linked to a number of suspicious incidents in the Allston and Brighton area.

The woman told officers the man immediately took off once she screamed. Boston police said they did not find any sign of forced entry but did observe a chair from the patio area was moved and re-positioned beneath a bedroom window.
