Boston's Back Bay Gets Its First Marijuana Dispensary
Located across from the Prudential Center, Back Bay's first pot shop AYR Wellness will join three other dispensaries directly in Boston.

BOSTON — Boston's historic Bay Bay neighborhood now has its very first marijuana dispensary.
Snug between the Walgreens and Apple Store on Boston's busy Boylston Street, AYR Wellness opened its doors two weeks ago and held a grand opening ceremony Thursday.
Also conveniently located across from the Prudential Center, the pot shop is expected to get traffic from the mall, dining, and casual strollers who pass through the brownstone-laced streets.

"We appreciate the warm welcome that we've received by the City of Boston, the Back Bay Association, the Neighborhood Association of Back Bay, and all of the surrounding businesses and community groups," said Jonathan Sandelman, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Ayr. "We look forward to further acting on our commitment of being a force for good throughout Back Bay and the local communities."
"Between the Prudential Center and the surrounding destination bars and restaurants, our Back Bay store is in one of the busiest parts of Boston, and we believe this will be one of the best-located dispensaries in the state of Massachusetts," Sandelman continued.

AYR features a wide range of cannabis products, including Ayr's own Kynd premium flower, Secret Orchard vapes, Wicked edibles, HAZE concentrates, and Levia THC-infused seltzer.
Massachusetts legalized the recreational sales of marijuana over five years ago and since then, almost 200 pot shops have popped up across the Bay State, but still only three dispensaries are open in Boston.
Ayr has also committed to donating $100,000 annually to the Neighborhood Association of Back Bay, adding that they will decide the areas each year where that money can be best allocated.
The store's hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Pre-orders are encouraged and can be placed here.
