Boston's Back Bay Welcomes NY-Based Vegan Pizzeria Double Zero
Double Zero, a vegan pizza shop out of New York has opened its doors in a Boston neighborhood.
BOSTON — Newbury Street is a bustling area filled with plenty of food and drink options, but vegan meals are a little less likely, until now.
According to their website, Double Zero is now open in the Back Bay, moving into a space on Newbury Street in between Dartmouth Street and Exeter Street.
Double Zero is a New York-based vegan pizza shop that uses wood-fired ovens and nut-based cheeses to get all the flavors of real pizza without any harm.

Their website says it plans to bring a healthy perspective to the world's most popular food, offering vegan versions of classics like eggplant parmesan, baked meatballs, and pasta bolognese; all while offering a list of organic sustainable wines in a casual environment.
Two-time James Beard Award nominee Matthew Kenney opened the first shop in the East Village of Manhattan, hinting three years ago that a Boston location would surface soon.

The website says hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday with lunch hours coming soon.
