Boston's Gourmet Dumpling House Set To Close

After 15 years in operation, Gourmet Dumpling House will close at the end of the month.

BOSTON — One of the best spots in the city to get dumplings will be closing its doors at the end of the month.

Gourmet Dumpling House at 52 Beach Street in Boston's Chinatown neighborhood announced that it will be closing after 15 years via a post shared through Google.

Gourmet Dumpling House said they will be closing their Boston location "due to lease terms" on July 1, the restaurant said according to a Facebook post.

"After 15 years in business, due to the lease term, we are so sorry to inform you Gourmet Dumpling House will be closing its operations July 1, 2022," the post reads. "Thanks to all those who have supported Gourmet Dumpling House over the years, we are extremely proud of all that we have accomplished in these glorious years and [we are] more thankful to those who have believed in us."

The restaurant's Cambridge location will remain in operation, the restaurant included.

"We got so emotional when we see so many touching comments online, you are all our families," the post continues. "We will miss you all! Please also visit us at our Cambridge location or follow us on Instagram."

Known for its mini juicy dumplings and pan-fried pork buns, the restaurant first opened in 2007 and gained notoriety throughout the city over the last few years.

Gourmet Dumpling House's last day in operation will be June 30.
