Brookline Chamber Warns of Crook Posing as HVAC Worker

Robber has accessed multiple small businesses in Boston and stolen wallets

BROOKLINE—The Brookline Chamber of Commerce and Brookline Police Department are warning local business owners of a suspect posing as an HVAC worker in order to gain access of employee break rooms where he then steals wallets and personal belongings.

According the the Boston Police Department, the he suspect is described as a white male, about 6’00” tall, approximately 185 pounds with a thin to medium build. Detectives believe this suspect may be connected to almost 20 incidents in the area and advise local business owners and employees to ask for identification from any service personnel requesting access to private or secure rooms in their establishments.

They also advise to confirm that a call for service has been made before allowing such access.
