Bruins Plan Blood-Drive Honoring Injured Boston Police Officers

After an Eastie suspect fired on them this October, two officers needed blood transfusions to survive.

BOSTON, MA ─ The Boston Bruins, Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association and the American Red Cross are hosting a Boston Bruins Blood Drive next week at TD Garden, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It honors Boston Police Officers Matt Morris and Richard Cintolo, who were fired upon this October while responding to an East Boston call about a domestic dispute. Both required blood transfusions to help them survive.

According to a press release from the American Red Cross, "This drive recognizes their bravery."
