BOSTON — Chris Rock's comedy set at the Wilbur Theater is reaching laughable heights after one of the most lucrative slaps in entertainment history.

Rock's "Ego Death Tour" kicks off Wednesday for a six-show stint in Boston, his first public appearances since being slapped by Will Smith at the Academy Awards Sunday night.

Smith apologized Monday on Instagram, but Rock has been silent since the incident. That's sure to change at the Wilbur.

When Patch first wrote about Rock coming to Boston Monday morning, the tickets were as low as $40 on StubHub. The cheapest as of Wednesday morning were $125, with Friday night's get-in price at $445.
