Disappointed Travelers Return To Boston From Snowy Florida

BOSTON - Imagine booking a trip to Florida thinking you were escaping the cold, only to arrive to near freezing temperatures. That was a reality for passengers arriving home Wednesday from Orlando at Logan Airport.

Jackie Vanaria planned a family vacation to Disney World back in September. She had heard that January was a great time to escape the cold in Florida. The last thing she expected was for a winter storm to hit the Gulf Coast.

"It was cold and rainy the whole time, so we will never be going back down in January again," said Jackie.
