Ex-eBay Employees Charged In Bizarre Retaliatory Scheme: Patch PM

Bloody pig masks. Live cockroaches. Pornography and swingers. All part of a wild scheme to get back at a Natick couple, prosecutors said.

There were only 87 new coronavirus cases reported in today's update from the Department of Public Health, a significant decline from 208 Sunday but one that was accompanied by a big drop in testing. There were 4,492 tests performed in today's report, down from 9,112 Sunday.

There were 23 new deaths reported, down from 48 Sunday. There have now been 7,647 deaths in Massachusetts related to COVID-19.

U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling announced the charges Monday and detailed a "systematic" harassment campaign that he said included the workers mailing cockroaches to the couple's home, trying to install a GPS tracker on their car and advertising their home as a party spot for swingers.


The owner of Boston Sports Club said Monday it may have to declare bankruptcy and close a number of locations permanently after the business took a financial hit because of the coronavirus pandemic gym closures.

The company laid off most of its 7,000 employees across more than 200 clubs in March and stopped paying rent, according to a regulatory filing that CEO Patrick Walsh signed.
