Four Centenarians Honored at Cohen Florence Levine Estates Assisted Living
Birthday celebration recognized Charley Kanter (101), Stella Garcia (102), Carmella Tracia (101)& Ida DiMichele (100) for lives well-lived

Four assisted living residents over the age of 100 at Cohen Florence Levine Estates Assisted Living, operated by nonprofit Chelsea Jewish Lifecare, were recently honored during a birthday celebration recognizing their extraordinary longevity and lives well lived.
Chelsea City Manager Fidel Maltez and State Representative Judith Garcia presented special citations to the residents who have reached the remarkable milestone of turning 100. The honorees included Charley Kanter, 101, Stella Garcia, 102, Carmella Tracia, 101, and Ida DiMichele, 100.
“We are so fortunate to have these amazing individuals as residents,” said Jen Fazekas, Director of Marketing at Chelsea Jewish Lifecare. “They are warm, personable, funny and vibrant. In fact, they truly inspire us every day to live life to the fullest.”

When asked the secret to his longevity, Charlie Kanter, a longtime assisted living resident, was quick to respond. “Good luck and good genes!” he said with a laugh.
Each senior lives independently in their own apartment and actively participates in daily recreational and social activities offered on the Admiral’s Hill campus.
