Boston's 1st Baby Of 2026 Born At Massachusetts General Hospital
The baby boy was born 19 minutes into the New Year.
BOSTON, MA — Boston's first baby of 2026 was born 19 minutes into the New Year at Massachusetts General Hospital.
"While many were ringing in the New Year, Mass General was welcoming a very special arrival —Boston's first baby born in 2026! Baby Benjamin “Benji” Robert Kelland arrived at 12:19 a.m. on New Year's Day, weighing 7lbs., 4 oz. and measuring 20 ½ long," Massachusetts General posted to the hospital's Facebook page.
"Congratulations to his parents, Robert and Chloe Kelland of Waltham, MA, on their new addition," the post said.
