Free Water Safety Programs Around Boston
The Boston Department of Conservation and Recreation is offering free water safety programs amid a growing number of recent drownings.
BOSTON — In an effort to improve water safety and develop skills when it comes to bodies of water across the state, the Department of Conservation and Recreation is launching a partnership with New England Swimming to provide a series of free water safety programs at certain pools.
Water Safety Days will offer free and safe activities to help teach and inform people between the ages of 4 and 14 years old about aquatic safety and water skills while promoting the importance of water competency.
Starting Saturday, the first program will take place at Melnea Cass Pool in Roxbury.
