BROOKLINE, MA — The MBTA announced Monday that it will close a long stretch of the Green Line D Branch for track work this fall, affecting commuters in Brookline.

Starting at the end of September, shuttle buses will replace trains along the D Branch from Sept. 24 to Oct. 2, Oct. 8 to 16 and Oct. 22 to 30.

Shuttle buses will serve each stop from Riverside to Kenmore. Shuttles won't serve the Beaconsfield station because roads are too narrow in the area, so the MBTA recommends Beaconsfield riders pick up the Green Line at either Dean Road or the Brookline Reservoir.
