Beaches across Cape Cod have already reopened, but beachgoers should expect to see some changes amid the pandemic.

The big story today was the long-awaited unveiling of back-to-school guidelines. While the Initial Fall School Reopening Guidance said what to expect (a whole lot of masks, hand washing and social distancing) and what not to (in-school temperature taking or COVID-19 testing,) there was on thing noticeably missing: When school would actually return. Beaches across Cape Cod have already reopened, but according to the Cape Cod National Seashore, beachgoers should expect to see some changes amid the coronavirus pandemic. The biggest of those changes is that there will be fewer lifeguards on duty at outer Cape beaches.
