Jassy Correia Memorial Vigil To Be Held Thursday In Dorchester
There will be a vigil for Jassy Correia Thursday and her wake will be held Friday, according to family.

BOSTON — There will be a memorial vigil Thursday for Jassy Correia, the 23-year-old woman whose body was found in the trunk of a car in Delaware days after she went missing from a Boston night club.
The vigil is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. outside St. Peter’s Church on Bowdoin Street in Dorchester, according to Correia’s cousin who posted about it on her Facebook page.
There will be a wake held the next night from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Correia's funeral Mass will be held there at 10 a.m. on Saturday, followed by her burial at Calvary Cemetery.

Louis D. Coleman III, 32, of Providence, R.I., is charged with one count of kidnapping, resulting in death. That federal charge faces a mandatory life sentence, and is also death-penalty eligible, if convicted.
Correia was kidnapped while leaving the Venu Night Club in Boston Feb. 24, where she was celebrating her 23rd birthday, authorities said. Her case - just weeks after another Boston woman was kidnapped - garnered national attention and set off a multi-state manhunt once Coleman was identified as the kidnapping suspect.

Her body was found five days later in the trunk of Coleman's car inside a suitcase. U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling said police found her body naked, bound, bruised and covered in what was believed to be in baking soda.
