Man Arrested In Dorchester After Crashing Stolen Car Into Three Others

One person is hospitalized after police say a man wearing a ski mask crashed a stolen car into three others while trying to evade arrest.

DORCHESTER, MA — A man was arrested Tuesday morning in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood after he crashed a stolen car into three other cars while wearing a ski mask and sunglasses, Massachusetts State Troopers said.

One of the drivers was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay, police added.

According to Massachusetts State Police, a trooper was in Dorchester near Morrissey Boulevardaround 10:20 a.m. when he said he noticed a car that had been reported stolen from Boston a few days earlier. The trooper said he then realized the driver was wearing a ski mask and sunglasses.

The trooper tried to pull the man over, but he says the man refused to stop, and instead crashed into three cars. The man then tried to run away from the car, but the trooper said he was able to catch and arrest him.

The intersection of Morrissey Boulevard and Freeport Street was closed for about an hour but has since reopened.

State police thanked the Boston Department of Public Works on Twitter for their quick work of cleaning up the area.
