BOSTON — A man was shot early Monday morning in Dorchester, police confirmed.

The shooting happened around 1 a.m. around 28 Elmhurst Street.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries, police say.

The man, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to a nearby hospital where he is still in critical condition, police said Monday afternoon.
