MA's Urban Oasis: Top Global Green Space Ranking

A new survey of city residents from across the globe reveals which are the best when it comes to green spaces and access to nature.

BOSTON, MA — A new survey from TimeOut reveals the best cities in the world when it comes to green space — and Boston ranks No. 2.

TimeOut surveyed 18,500 people from cities across the planet to discover which fared best with providing natural spaces for residents.

"Green spaces are pretty darn good for us, after all – spending time in nature has been widely proven to reduce stress and improve our mental health, and they encourage us to be active for our physical health, too," TimeOut wrote. "In fact, research has found that spending time in green space actually prolongs your life."
