Massachusetts RMV's Low Plate Lottery Ends Soon
Massachusetts residents have until Friday, August 27 to enter to win a low-digit license plate.

BOSTON — Massachusetts drivers have until Friday, August 27 to enter the Registry of Motor Vehicles' Low Plate Lottery.
200 plates are up for grabs at the myRMV Online Service Center.
Low-digit devotees say the plates are a status symbol. Massachusetts first manufactured the license plates in 1903, starting with number one, and soon other states followed.

Owners with low-plate numbers today have inherited them from politicians or devotees say they came from an important family who had one years ago.
