Milford Woman Arrested In Hit-and-Run Of Framingham Boy
Police have made an arrest in connection with the hit and run that killed a four-year-old Framingham boy on Easter Day, April 16, in Milford. Melissa Knight, 54, Depot Road, Milford, has been arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash after causing injuries that caused death and misleading a police investigation.

No Signs Wayland Teen's Trump Support Has Wavered
Back before Donald Trump was even named the Republicans' presidential nominee, a Wayland family proudly displayed a huge purple "Trump" sign in their yard. It was so big it even prompted the now-president to tweet about it as possibly the "largest presidential campaign sign of 2016."
Wilmington Boy Had Explosives, Threatened Student
A 13-year-old boy has been charged with making threats to a student at Wilmington Middle School and possessing explosive devices, Middlesex DA Marian Ryan and Wilmington Police Chief Michael Begonis announced Thursday. The boy, a student at Wilmington Middle School, has been charged with three counts of possession of an explosive device, possession of a counterfeit note and threatening to commit a crime.
Peabody Imposes New Default Speed Limit
Peabody's new default speed limit for unmarked city roads went into effect on May 1. Streets that don't have posted speed limits are automatically reduced from 30 to 25 mph. The state legislature changed a law last year to give municipalities more control over speed limits on local roads. Mayor Ted Bettencourt completed an evaluation on the city roads, and City Council adopted the change in February.
3 Plymouth Inmates Escape: Authorities
Three inmates at the state correctional facility in Plymouth escaped Wednesday, authorities said. The inmates are white men wearing orange jumpsuits, white t-shirts and blue jean jackets. The men are between the ages of 27 and 32, officials said.
