Melanie Martinez To Perform At Boston’s Orpheum Theatre
Melanie Martinez is taking to the stage with her 'The K-12 Tour' at the Orpheum Theatre on Oct. 20 in Boston.

BOSTON — Taking to the stage in celebration of her new album, Melanie Martinez is coming to Boston for her “The K-12 Tour.” Tickets are on sale now to see this talented young artist perform at the Orpheum Theatre on Oct. 20.
The tour follows the release of Martinez's new album, “K-12,” which is set to be released on Sept. 6. The tour will hit North American cities, kicking off in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 13 and wrapping up in Hamburg, Germany, on Dec. 17.

Partnering with PLUS1, $1 from every ticket will go to benefit the Trevor Project in aid of suicide prevention and crisis intervention for LGBTQ youth.
Martinez got her start appearing on "The Voice" in 2012, after which she released both her debut EP and single of the same name, “Dollhouse.” The success of this was followed in 2015 with the release of “Cry Baby,” her debut studio album which hit Billboard’s #1 on the Current Alternative Album charts. Her single “Pity Party” was featured in a companion video that has received over 146 million views.

The Guardian defines Martinez as “off-kilter, sweary electropop.”
In an interview with Altpress, Martinez is excited about touring, “It’s been a bit since I’ve been on tour and I’m incredibly excited to bring the movie to life on stage. I’m putting all of my energy into making it not only visually stunning and pleasing to the senses but also a fun learning experience and a safe place to express yourself and be accepted for exactly who you are.”
