In observance of the holiday, most federal, state, and local offices in Massachusetts will be closed.
BOSTON — Memorial Day is this Monday, May 30. In observance of the holiday, most federal, state, and local offices in Massachusetts will be closed, while many local businesses will remain open with modified hours.
Services such as mail delivery and pickup and garbage pickup will be delayed, with most garbage trucks operating on a holiday weekday schedule.
The MBTA will be operating with limited services, with the subway, bus, ferry, and The RIDE operating on a Sunday schedule and the Commuter Rail operating on a weekend schedule. Parking meters will not be in effect.
