Mookie Betts About To Get Richest MLB Deal In History: Report
The Los Angeles Dodgers are reportedly close to giving Betts the deal the Red Sox never did.

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts is reportedly close to a contract extension that be the richest in Major League Baseball history.
The Red Sox traded Betts, a 27-year-old former MVP and one of the most talented all-around players in baseball, along with lefthander David Price after the season. Boston and Betts were unable to agree on contract terms.
Betts apparently had no such problem with the Dodgers. USA Today's Bob Nightengale is among those reporting the deal will surpass Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout's $10-year, $360 million contract. The deal is expected to be finalized in a matter of days.
