Natural Gas Explosion In Winthrop Displaces At Least 20 People
At least 20 people were displaced and two were hospitalized while emergency crews and National Grid cleared a building.

WINTHROP, MA — Two people were injured and at least 20 were displaced in a natural gas explosion in Winthrop Friday afternoon.
The Red Cross said the explosion happened on Irwin Street Friday afternoon.
The people who were injured were hospitalized; there was no immediate update on their condition.
