North End 'Fiddler on the Roof' Arrested: Boston Police

Suspect was allegedly attempting to break into apartments from above.

BOSTON, MA — A man allegedly attempting to break into North End apartments by apparently climbing from roof to roof was arrested by police this weekend in the early hours of Sunday morning.

According to the Boston Police Department, 24-year-old Damian Tejada, of New York, attempted to break and enter into multiple apartments via skylights and other roof access points. Police further say he appears to have jumped from roof to roof in the process, starting at 10 Thacher Street in Boston, where police got the first call, and again at North Margin Street.

A fourth victim told officers he heard sounds coming from his roof and opened the door, at which point Tejada walked into his apartment. Officers found and arrested him there, police said.
