
Service is resuming after a train at Ruggles Station reportedly struck a person on the tracks, temporarily suspending Orange Line trains at several stations Monday afternoon.
The Mass. Bay Transit Authority said it has resumed Orange Line Service between its Jackson and Haymarket stops. "Moderate residual delays" persist as of about 4:30 p.m., according to an MBTA alert.
Transit Police told reporters late Monday that one person is dead, after being hit by a train at Ruggles Station. Police describe him as a young man, and say no foul play is suspected. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Shuttle bus service was being provided between Jackson on the Orange Line and Copley Station on the Green Line earlier this afternoon. Stops from Haymarket to Jackson Square stations were impacted.
