Powder Mailed From Boston Opened By Trump Jr's Wife: NYPD
Donald Trump's daughter-in-law was hospitalized after opening the letter, police said.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Donald Trump's daughter-in-law was sent to the hospital Monday morning after opening a letter mailed from Boston that contained a suspicious powder, New York Police Department sources said. The letter was addressed to Donald Trump Jr. but sent to his mother-in-law home on East 54th Street near First Avenue in Manhattan, law enforcement sources said.
Vanessa Trump opened the letter at about 10 a.m., an NYPD spokeswoman said. She was sent to the hospital for evaluation, police said. Vanessa's mother Bonnie Haydon was also taken to the hospital as a precaution, law enforcement sources said. A third person was also taken to the hospital but has not yet been identified.
Investigators said the substance sent to Trump, Jr was not hazardous. It was later discovered to be cornstarch and was accompanied by a letter.
