And the Proud Owner of Millenium Tower's $37.5 Million Penthouse is...
Meet the secretive billionaire who reportedly bought Boston's most expensive condo.

Boston, MA - A buyer for the $37.5 million penthouse at Millennium Tower has been identified.
Citing unnamed sources, the Boston Business Journal reports Irish billionaire John Grayken has purchased the 13,000-square-foot condo for about $33 million - just a few dollars under its listed price of $37.5 million.
Never heard of him? Not to worry. Forbes had a long piece on Grayken earlier this year, not at all forbiddingly titled, "The Billionaire Banker in the Shadows."

Writes Forbes:
"Among the robber barons of the new millennium, few are as secretive–or as loathed or as successful–as John Grayken of Lone Star Funds."
Lots to inspire confidence in Boston's new neighbor there.

He also, according to the piece, bought one of London's most expensive homes in 2015. At $70 million, it's enough to make Grayken's Boston buy seem like a steal. That and, through one of the companies he controls, Grayken owns an island off of Cohasset.
Forbes reports Grayken is originally from Cohasett, but he revoked his U.S. citizenship in favor of Irish.
But that means he actually won't be spending too much time in his new Millennium Tower digs.
According to Forbes, Grayken "lives in London because he can’t spend much more than 120 days a year in the U.S. without having to pay the U.S. taxman."
