Red Line Service Suspended After Man Falls onto Park Street Station Tracks

Shuttle buses replaced much of the Red Line T service Tuesday night.

The Mass. Bay Transit Authority suspended much of its Red Line T service Tuesday night after a man fell onto the tracks at the Park Street station, according to a spokesman for the MBTA Transit Police.

An alert went out to riders at roughly 10:15 p.m., saying shuttle bus service will replace Red Line trains between the JFK/UMass and Harvard stations. The Green Line was also experiencing moderate delays late Tuesday night, according to the MBTA.

Boston EMS Incident's Facebook account posted at about 9:45 p.m. that units had been called to the Park Street station for a person reported burned and unconscious after falling onto the tracks' electrified third rail.
