Sam Adams Celebrates Big Papi with Limited-Edition 'Big Hapi'
The 34th bottle, of course, will go to David Ortiz himself, and all proceeds will go to his Children's Fund.
BOSTON, MA — Sam Adams is celebrating David Ortiz with a soon-to-release, limited-edition, one-per-person "Big Hapi" brew.
The beer debuts this Friday, described by Sam Adams as a "bold mango juice-infused double IPA" that pays tribute to one of the best hitters of all time.
Only 541 bottles of Big Hapi will be available, and only at Sam Adams' Boston Brewery. For those of you keeping count, that's one beer for each home run Big Papi smashed out of the park over the course of his 19-year career. It should go without saying that bottle 34 will go to Ortiz, himself.
