Red Line Delays Reported Wednesday: UPDATE
As of about 9:30 a.m., the MBTA was reporting "minor residual delays."

BOSTON, MA — Riders on the Red Line experienced significant delays during Wednesday morning's commute.
A "severe delay" alert went out around 8:30 a.m. Just after 9 a.m., the MBTA downgraded the delay to "moderate," and subsequently reported "minor residual delays," as of about 9:30 a.m.
The MBTA attributed the severe delay to an ongoing signal problem at its Harvard station and a medical emergency at the Central station, both in Cambridge. The signal problem persisted, causing the continuing moderate delays.

As we so often do, Patch this morning collected expressions of rider rage via social media. We hope it's cathartic, or at least gives you a laugh. If nothing else, misery loves company, right?
Going to tell my manager to just put me down as being late everyday these next 3 months if this is how the #mbta is during a drizzle.

Following announcement of severe delays, they ran an anti-suicide PSA. Timely. #mbta #redline

@CharlieBakerMA when you took office you pledged to fix the #MBTA. The #RedLine is no longer able to operate in the rain.

Why stop a #redline train at Kendall for a medical emergency? Just go one more stop and dump em out at MGH. #MBTA

@MBTA #MBTA #Redline more delays. The only reasonable way to commute on the T is to push back the time you leave by 2 hours. pic.twitter.com/8KqNSY4EXe
