Woman Reportedly Struck By Green Line Trolley: Updated

The MBTA was reporting severe delays on the Green Line C Thursday morning. Shuttle bus service temporarily replaced parts of the line.

Update: As of 10:38 a.m., the MBTA reports an all-clear, regarding shuttle bussing on the Green Line C.

BOSTON, MA — Parts of the Green Line C is being replaced by shuttle buses Thursday morning, following what the Mass. Bay Transit Authority reports as a medical emergency.

According to the MBTA, delays began around 9:45 a.m., and became severe after the reported emergency at the Summit Avenue station. As of 9:52 a.m., shuttle buses are replacing Green Line C branch service between Coolidge Corner and Cleveland Circle.

NECN reports the trolley struck a woman, who was conscious and alert, and is being taken to Brigham and Women's for treatment, according to a transit spokesperson.
