South End Sexual Assault Suspect Held on $500K Bail
Eight years ago, he was convicted in a separate sexual assault, also in Boston's South End.

BOSTON, MA — A suspect arrested for allegedly raping a South End woman earlier this week was held on a $500,000 bail Wednesday.
According to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office, this isn't the first Eduardo Rodriguez, 31, has faced such charges. He was previously convicted in 2008 and sentenced to a prison term of 8-10 years, from which he was released this December.
Then, as now, Rodriguez faced charges of sexual assault, also in the South End. The Suffolk County DA's office said in a press release that prosecutors at the time had recommended an up to 15-year sentence.
