Student Charged With Robbing Framingham Store

Police have arrested Darius Banks in connection to the robberies at Gris Market and Picante Market

FRAMINGHAM— Police have arrested Darius Banks, 18, of Randolph, in connection to the robberies at Gris Market and Picante Market. Banks, a student at Framingham State, was arraigned today in Framingham District Court.

Framingham Police Department's Street Team arrested Banks Wed. evening when he tried to rob Gris Market. Banks was carrying a wrench in his vest pocket.

According to the FPD, officers were near Second Street when they saw a man, later identified as the clerk of the market, chasing Banks after he allegedly attempted to rob the store.

He is being charged with armed robbery and attempted armed robbery.
