Suspect Arrested In Connection To Irma Street Dorchester Shooting

A Brockton man is facing charges in connection to a shooting on Irma Street in Dorchester earlier this month that left a woman dead.

DORCHESTER, MA — Boston police have placed a suspect in custody in connection to a shooting in Dorchester that left a woman dead earlier this month.

Indrick Rubin, 37, of Brockton was arrested in Boston after an investigation by police and homicide detectives.

A warrant was issued for Rubin's arrest on charges of murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.

At about 12:30 a.m. on Monday, August 9, officers responded to a home after a party on Irma Street in Dorchester to find 38-year-old Aisha Shephard of Roxbury suffering from an apparent gunshot wound before pronouncing her dead at the scene.

Police did not immediately release her name.

Boston police say two other victims were found nearby with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Three other victims were self-transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, they added.

Rubin is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
