Swimmer Reported Missing Near Carson Beach Safely Recovered
A search was underway Friday afternoon for a woman reported missing near the South Boston beach.

The search for a missing swimmer ended in success Friday, according to State Police.
A woman was initially reported missing off Carson Beach, whose waters claimed the life of a seven-year-old boy last month in South Boston.
Around 1:35 p.m., State Police reported a search was underway for the woman. By 1:45 p.m., multiple outlets reported the search had been called off.

"South Boston Carson Beach search over.. woman found. She went to (Sully Dogs) to get a hot dog," tweeted a WBZ reporter.
The woman is 65, according to the Boston Fire Department, which was also on-scene.

After a search by land and water, she was found sitting on a bench in another part of the beach, Boston Fire said in a social media post.
